The Black Diamond Posiwires are my go-to quickdraws for sport climbing and multipitch climbing. The wire gate on one side makes identification easy, they clip well and are a good size in the hand.

After trying many brands, Mammut ropes are just the best! The Mammut Finesse 9.3mm is my preferred sport climbing rope. It handles well, has the dry treatment so keeps all the dirt out, and is very durable.

The Petzl Reverso is a great belay device with the ability to be used in guide mode on multipitch climbs

These are snug fitting (repeat: snug, not painfully tight) and allow your foot to stand on tiny edges (with practice).

As your most important investment, your harness keeps you safe and comfortable. Try them before you buy to see if they fit well. Shop assistants will be able to help you with this. My favourite is the Petzl Adjama as it is a good all round harness.
